"The Constitution of the United States protects those unalienable rights of 'We the people.'  'We the people' have the responsibility of protecting the Constitution! There are no rights without responsibility.— Dr. Wm. Scott Magill

We defend the Constitution of the United States

John Adams is quoted "Liberty must at all hazards be supported. We have a right to it, derived from our Maker. But if we had not our fathers earned and bought it for us at the expense of their ease, their estates, their pleasure and their blood."

We, VETERANS of the United States of America, recognizing no time limit on and reaffirming our oath:

"I, ______, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same...so help me, God.”

Come together as Veterans In Defense of Liberty, in one accord, as one body, as one voice and with one purpose. Bearing the authority entrusted to us by our Founding Fathers and recognizing that Liberty is endowed by our Creator and protected by our Constitution we pledge to; protect ourselves, each other, our posterity, our states and our country by defending our Constitution as a contract, not a living document, from all abuses of power, violations and tyrannical acts, from within or from without our nation and our government.

Woe to the Ambition!
"The happy union of these states is a wonder their Constitution is a miracle; their example the hope of liberty throughout the world. Woe to the ambition that would meditate the destruction of either!" — James Madison, Sept. 1829

We are the Muscle
"It is said that patriotism is a purpose with some muscle behind it; the Constitution is the purpose and Veterans In Defense of Liberty is the muscle behind it!" — Dr. Wm. Scott Magill, July 2010

Preserve Inviolate!
May you and your contemporaries…preserve inviolate [the] Constitution, which, cherished in all its chastity and purity, will prove in the end a blessing to all the nations of the earth" — Thomas Jefferson, 11 Dec 1821

"It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brushfires in people's minds."
— Samuel Adams
